Growth (S$99/mo) adds WhatsApp marketing campaigns, prepaid packages and credits, inventory management, GST-ready reports, staff performance analytics, and card payments via Stripe. Multi-Outlet (S$199/mo) covers up to 3 outlets with cross-outlet calendars and reporting.

Is there really a free trial with no credit card?

Yes. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with no card required — you get the full features of the plan you pick. You only add payment details when you decide to continue.

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes, no lock-in contracts. You can cancel from your account settings at any time. Your data remains accessible until the end of your billing period.

Do you charge GST on subscriptions?

BusinessKaki is currently a startup and is not GST-registered, so no GST is charged on subscription fees. If this changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice.

Why are WhatsApp fees separate from my plan?

WhatsApp Business API messages are billed by Meta (WhatsApp's parent company) based on message type and volume. These are third-party infrastructure costs — similar to how an email provider charges for bulk sends beyond a free tier. We include a generous monthly allocation in every plan to cover typical usage.

What counts as a WhatsApp conversation?

Meta categorises WhatsApp messages into types: marketing (promotional campaigns), utility (booking confirmations, reminders), authentication (OTPs), and service (customer-initiated replies). Each type carries different rates. Simple appointment reminders and confirmations generally fall under utility and are among the lowest-cost message types.

How much does WhatsApp overage cost?

Overage rates are billed in SGD and reviewed quarterly to reflect Meta's published pricing and prevailing exchange rates. We will always notify you at least 30 days before any rate change. Contact us at hello@businesskaki.sg for the current rates applicable to your usage.

What if Meta changes WhatsApp prices?

Meta periodically updates their WhatsApp Business API pricing globally, including in Singapore. We monitor these changes and pass through any reductions immediately. For increases, we provide 30 days' advance notice before adjusting overage billing. Your bundled plan allocation is always fixed — only overages are subject to rate changes.

What payment methods can my customers use?

All plans support PayNow (via QR code) and cash. Growth plan adds card payments (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) through Stripe. This lets you offer the payment options your Singapore customers already use.

Are there card processing fees?

Accepted Answer

Card payments via Stripe incur standard payment processing fees, which vary by card type and country of issue. These fees are deducted from each transaction — they are not charged to you upfront. For current Stripe Singapore rates, visit stripe.com/en-sg/pricing.

How does PayNow work for my salon?

You link your business PayNow QR (UEN-based) in your BusinessKaki settings. Customers scan and pay — the funds go directly to your account. There are no processing fees for PayNow payments.

Do I need a separate WhatsApp number?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you need a WhatsApp Business account registered to a number dedicated to your salon. This keeps your personal WhatsApp separate and lets the bot run 24/7. We guide you through the setup during onboarding.

Do I need technical knowledge to set up the bot?

Accepted Answer

No. We handle the technical setup. You provide your business details, services, and availability — we configure the bot. Most salons are live within 2–3 business days of onboarding.

What can the WhatsApp bot do?

Accepted Answer

The bot handles booking requests, sends appointment confirmations, fires automated reminders before appointments, answers basic FAQs about your services and pricing, and escalates to you when it can't help. You can see all conversations and step in anytime from the dashboard.

Is my customer data safe?

All data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted in Singapore, encrypted at rest and in transit. We follow PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act) requirements for data collection, use, and retention. You remain the data controller for your customers' information.

Can I export my data if I leave?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can export your full customer list, appointment history, and transaction records at any time from Settings. We don't hold your data hostage.
